1969 - 2019

We at Porsche Centre Willoughby are proud to celebrate our 50 Year Anniversary in 2019, making PCW one of the oldest standing Porsche dealerships in Australia.
A key to PCW's long-term success is the lasting relationships we create and foster with our loyal client base. Today, PCW employs over 35 staff, dedicated to making our clients’ entire Porsche ownership experience a pleasure.

On behalf of the team at Porsche Centre Willoughby, I would like to thank everyone within the PCW community for making the last 50 years truly exceptional.
We cannot wait to see what the next 50 years will bring!

Porsche Centre Willoughby history.

1962 - Scuderia Veloce Motors

The roots of Porsche Centre Willoughby business date back to 1962, when Scuderia Veloce Motors (SVM) was
established in Wahroonga, NSW, by engineer Bob Atkin and racing driver/journalist David McKay to tune performance
sport cars.

1969 - Official Porsche Centre

Scuderia Veloce Motors was appointed an official Porsche Centre in 1969, moving to a new premises in Lindfield, NSW.
There, a new showroom was built to accommodate the expanded new Porsche range and service operations two years later.

1983 - Suttons Group acquisition

Suttons Group of Companies purchased Scuderia Veloce Motors in 1983, company privatised, and Scuderia Veloce becomes
a division of SMA Motors.

1990 - SVM Willoughby showroom

The facility where the current showroom stands, just 4 minutes from the Harbour Bridge, was purchased and developed over the next 18 months for Porsche Centre Willoughby.

2002 - Porsche Centre Willoughby renovations

Our long-term commitment to to Porsche was demonstrated in 2002 when the Willoughby site was redeveloped to
incorporate the Porsche corporate ID. In 2004, the trading name was changed officially to Porsche Centre Willoughby, becoming a stand-alone Porsche Centre.

Following the launch of the new 718 in 2016, the next major Porsche model milestone for PCW will be the release of the latest generation 911 (992) due Q2 2019 - appropriately celebrating PCW's 50th year with Porsche.

"From the initial point of contact with the Porsche Centre Willoughby Aftersales Service Department, through to getting the car back, we have experienced a quality of service that can only be described as exceptional. I would like to thank all of the team, specifically Chris Long in the service department. I expect that we will remain Porsche customers for a very long time and look forward to continuing our relationship with Porsche Centre Willoughby."
